I have tried cutting out certain brands of blushers but still to no avail.

I now think it could be my moisturiser as I use to use Clinique Dramatically Different Gel but wanted to get something cheaper. Started of with a Johnsons Cream and now been using Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser, again a creamy cream. Im almost convinced this is whats causing my spots as it could be clogging my pores.

I spoke to girl at Clinique who said the gel is oil free and most moisturiser contain oil and so she gave me a sample to see. Ive only started using it today so will need to give it some time.

On makeupalley there are quite a few comments about the Simple cream breaking them out however when searching on google not alot of reports on moisturiser causing spots.

Id be very grateful for some feedback on this and whether you have found that moisturisers have broken you out? xlittlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-70831082389295589802010-03-14T06:35:00.000-07:002010-03-14T06:47:27.500-07:00One want....One got!First i'll start with a product that I got yesterday after seeing Milly @ pearlsandpoodles.blogspot.com (go subscribe if you havnt, Milly does great fotd!) using it. The product is BarryM 100 lipstick. Now if I had just gone in to the shop and seen it I wouldnt have even swatched it as it looks quite scary, very brightish pink. Anyway I swatched it on my hand yesterday and thought that it didnt look as subtle as it had done on Milly. So I carried on with my shopping in town and saw the colour in the light and after id smudged it in a bit, decided I had to have the colour. I wore it out last night and again today with macs honey salve and it is the perfect baby pink. It looks gorge and id say even though when I first applied it, it did appear very nude, after a few minutes, when its had a chance to mix with the salve it actually isnt. I lurrrrrrrrrve it, thanks Milly!

On a different subject, I really really want an iphone. My dad has one now and so does my aunty, and then saw my friends at dancing last week and she had one too. Id like it in the white as everyone has the black. I currently have the blackberry curve which I do love but it looks so dated especially the screen. I want to be able to watch youtube etc on my phone. However iphones on orange are so expensive as are the tariffs. I have been with Orange for ages and happy with them so do not want to swap to the other two networks currently selling iphones. My dad has his on a business contract and pays less than £10, yes £10 for all inclusive mins, texts and data. Ive been begging him to add me on but so far its a NO! So id like some feedback, on what contract you are on and who with as not sure what to do and also how you like or dislike the iphone?? xlittlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-79072396551131859792010-03-06T07:36:00.000-08:002010-03-06T07:42:17.255-08:00My VILE SkinYes, exactly what the title says. I am so fed up with the state of my skin at the moment i feel like given myself a chemical peel! Ive been told I have good skin but clearly these people are blind. At the moment im having constant break outs on my cheeks, no idea why and also have extremely patchy skin, so it doesnt matter what I use to cover my face, you can guarantee within a few hours if you look at it closely in a mirror who will see all the dry patches and all my makeup has turned cakey. I cover my blemishes with concealer and then when I put my mineral foundation and bronzer on it just sticks to wherever ive put concealer, only highlighting the blemishes. I moisturise my face everyday and have tried various different moisturisers. Im almost crying writing this, I love wearing make up and now all its doing is excentuating (not sure how to spell that) my flaws. Whats the point in doing my eyes and lips nice if my skin looks like absolute ****! Someone please advise me? I am going to go to the doctors and they will have to give me something for it.littlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-83053362193218530902010-03-02T04:31:00.000-08:002010-03-02T04:34:02.792-08:00Update on Mineralize SkinfinishSo I settled for Medium Dark in the mineralize skinfinish natural in the end. Today however I am not loving this product, i looked in the mirror at lunch and my face looks really cakey with pink undertones, absolutely yuk. Im not a happy bunny as I have spent £18 on this product. I will have to put it in a blog sale me thinks. Unfortunately I do not have paypal so unsure how I would work this.

If anyone does fancy this product, swiped a couple of times, only bought on Saturday :(

xlittlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-28929187734756326412010-02-28T06:10:00.000-08:002010-02-28T06:16:10.474-08:00Just A Couple of Things....So I made it to the Bull Ring in Birmingham yesterday to pick up a mineralize skinfinish natural and the select cover-up concealer. I decided in the medium dark shade in the powder as I already had medium plus. I really like the colour but definately gets darker throughout the day... Does anyone know if the shade in medium is darker or lighter than the medium plus? When i emailed an artist they said medium was darker than the medium plus, which isnt logical really.

I couldnt really decide on the concealer. The nc30 in this concealer looked more muddy/brown as opposed to the nc30 in the studio finish concealer which looks more golden...anyone agree? I felt the nc23 the next lightest shade in the select cover was maybe a tad too light. She put them both on me and to be honest the light in selfridges is rubbish and they both looked very similar on the skin. However on my hand in daylight, nc30 too dark and nc23 too light!! Help!!

Just wondering if anyone got the mac graphic garden brush sets, i really want the makeup bag they came in and wondered if anyone has it and doesnt want it and would be prepared to sell it to me??

Finally just a few youtube ladies you should def check out, "lette76" and "lexxielove", there videos are fab! xlittlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-39813716707133504062010-02-23T07:01:00.000-08:002010-02-23T07:04:50.869-08:00MAC MSF Natural...

So im planning to get another msf natural, im really debating between the medium dark and the medium deep. I want to use it all over after ive done my foundation. How sheer are these? Do you girls use them all over your face or just around the cheek area?? I have got the medium plus one and was wondering how that colour compares with the medium dark and then the medium deep? Your thoughts would be a great help? xlittlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-19544234502921748212010-02-22T05:33:00.000-08:002010-02-22T05:42:22.728-08:00MAC Select Cover-Up ConcealerHi girlies,

Long time no post! Im currently on the hunt for a good concealer. Back in the day I use to use the Stila one which came in a little tube. Unfortunately Stila no longer sell their products in the UK and I cant be faffed with trying to find somewhere online that sells it. Anyway ive tried quire a few concealers since, inc Boing by Benefit, Studio Finish by Mac, and a couple of others, the names of which fail me at the moment! None of these are up to scratch, all either too light, too dark, to pinky or too drying! I was chatting with "MAC!!..luz**" and she suggested I try the Select Cover-Up. I would say im about an nc25, the nc30 is the perfect colour tone wise, it having golden/yellow undertones however its just a tad bit too dark. Im very pale but pretty much always fake tan. Anyways, guess what...they dont do the select cover in nc25, the next one down is nc23 and if you look on the online swatch it looks pinky. I appreciate the swatches are never accurate but im still a little wary as its not cheap concealer. If anyone has a swatch of the nc23 that would be great! If not perhaps someone could advise what the colour nc23 actually looks like.

Thanks xxlittlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-27387954234719753902009-09-07T11:19:00.000-07:002009-09-07T11:30:55.431-07:00Holiday Snaps - Ibiza

This a bit of a delayed post as ive been back off holiday now for almost 2 months, omg where has the time gone!! I have wavy/curlyish hair and wear it straight all the time. I thought it would be nice to have a change and bought the Dream Curls. Not good, I find it straightens my hair more than the potion does! It just pulls the curls out. I find this with alot of curl enhancing products though so could just be my hair. Anyway ive bought loads since I last posted however im not going to put everything ive bought all in this post as it could take till Xmas for me to do that.

So the first thing I bought were these shoes. I saw them a while ago but a) refrained as was low on cash and b) i had tights on so were difficult to try on properly however im glad I didnt get them as they are now in the sale!I will wear these with skinny black jeans and possibly leggings. I heart these!

Following on from my last post to do with mascara ive actually stopped using the maybelline one and have now moved to the Max Factor False Lashes one. I really like this, it make my lashes look more natural and less spidery. I will definately be repurchasing this. Im still using the Clinque mascara as I did before.

Im off to Ibiza a week tomorrow with my friend and bought a few pairs of the cheap cotton shorts from Topshop. These are great because I wont wear shorts in England so I dont really want to be spending a fortune. I got a pair in white and a bright pink pair. Im thinking I might cut some old jeans up so I have a pair of denim shorts to take too.

I also bought this top from River Island. I already have it in white but its handwash and because I wear fake tan it rubs off onto white something chronic and its such a pain having to wash it all out. So after seeing the grey version of this top on Dollymix184's blog I decided to get this one too!
What a mission was that trying to post pictures. I really cant seem to get the hang of this blog lark.

So there are a few of my clothing purchases. As for make-up I recently got the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder which I love. I got it in natural beige. I use to use Bare Minerals but found it could make my skin look a bit dry and did give a bit of the classic "foundation look" which I dont like. The LM one is a lot lighter in formation and is a much lesser (is that a word??) coverage.

Im also loving Laguna Bronzer with a bit of MAC cream colour base in pearl to highlight the cheek bones.

At the weekend I went to Bath as my sister is currently studying near there. I bought a few things from MAC even though I shouldnt have really as I need to pay for my holiday, nevermind. I got Hue and Creme d'Nude after much debating between the latter and Myth. I felt my lips are very dry and Myth just accentuated this. I also got 2 eyeshadows in Yoghurt and Naked Lunch. I always wear pink eyeshadow, always very subtle shades though as I only like this colour on my eyes (they are blue). I wear it with silver eyeliner on the upper and lower lashline and it really makes my eyes standout and because ive been wearing this look for so long without the silver eyeliner I just dont recognise myself. Try this look out and you will see what I mean. Im yet to try the Naked Lunch colour, it has a peachy tint to it and its a very neutral shade so hopefully it will look ok. Ive seen KandeeJohnson use it alot so might try one of her looks out.

Hopefully this post makes up for my lack of effort over the past month. I will post again once im back off my hols. Quite a few of the bloggers seem to be off on their holidays too, so hope everyone has a good time.

Bye xx

littlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-35732427093945045262009-05-04T04:10:00.000-07:002009-05-04T04:15:28.703-07:00Mascara RoutineFirst off so sorry for taking so long to update, im so lazy and not the most motivated of people. Anyway just thought id do a quick post of what I do to make my lashes as full as possible. I use two different mascaras, a high street brand and a more expensive brand.

I start with Maybelline Colossal Volume Express mascara on both top and bottom lashes. I then I leave them for about 10 minutes. I then use metal mascara comb (be careful!) on both set of lashes. Then I put another coat of the Maybelline on and finally go over both sets again with Clinique Lash Doubling mascara. I really like this mascara as the brush never clumps or appears to dry out and also the shape of the wand is brilliant for getting in the outer corners of the lower lashes. littlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299563953408731060.post-775445788858561322009-04-20T11:15:00.000-07:002009-04-20T12:33:05.993-07:00My Weekend PurchasesSo, I havent had a big shop with regards to clothes for at least 3 weeks as I went skiing and had to pay for it!! So my wages went in on Wednesday and its been burning a hole in my pocket ever since. So here is what I got, sorry but I need to find my digi camera lead so ive had to get the pics from websites..soorrreee
So I bought this top from River Island which I wore yesterday with leggings, a pair of dark brown flat knee high boots and a grey cardigan. It was £20, which was pretty good considering the price of Topshop tops these days, see below.
So this is one of the tops I bought from Topshop, if you know me then this is pretty much the type of type I live in, in the summer, white, loose and summery. Team it with a pair of skinny jeans and some gorgeous strapy sandles and you cant go wrong. I like this top because even though its loose at the front, at the back its quite fitted and with buttons all the down the back.

This top was £25 which is slightly too much for what it is, but I needed it!

This top/dress I just love. I will be wearing it with leggings and my £20 rusty colour boots from Deutchman Shoes (BARGAIN!). Its a coral colour and the shorter part covers the bum and then the other side is slightly longer. Again this is from Topshop and was £28, im sure Topshop prices never use to be quite as dear. As well as all the above I got a pair of black trousers for work and pair of black skinny jeans.

Ive only recently started getting addicted to all the beauty/fashion blogs. I know mine says Little_Miss_Make-Up however I will be posting up a few clothing buys. I always wonder how all of you girlies can afford such expensive make-up, so I thought id tell you what I do for a living so at least people will realise that we do actually work for what we buy! I am a legal secretary but am hoping to pursue a career in events in the not so distance future.

Hope you like my first post, please let me know! xoxo

littlemissmakeuphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08272731767860480375noreply@blogger.com5
